Are you trying to figure out if you want to do private homeschooling vs. online learning through the public school system?

Today I have Shannon Carpenter from Heart of Homeschooling back on the show.  I wanted to talk to her about choosing curriculum’s.  I know so many parents who have decided to do remote learning are trying to figure out if they want to do their own thing vs. remote learning through the school system so that they can have more flexibility.  So Shannon shared the curriculum she has used over the years.  She suggests doing a learning style assessment and factor in what personality do your kids have. Are they organized and structure or loose and flexible? Also to consider what season of life are you in and what is the personality of the mom. She shares with us that some curriculum work better if you need your kids to be more independent say you are really busy and don’t have as much time to sit down with them vs. picking a different curriculum where you are more involved.  Also,  she suggested how to get involved or even create a community and co-op as well as what does testing look like for homeschool and why it depends all on your state. One story that stood out to me is how you can enroll your high school child into college courses and apply those units toward their bachelor degree and not only that high school students get a discount to take college courses!  Hear what she says about this topic and more on the podcast.

“My Favorite Things” Segment:

  • Buy Your Billie Razor

I pushed off trying this razor for a long time, I didn’t really see what the big deal was. Now, I get it, I love how this shaves, it feels very smooth and moisturizing, you have to try it for yourself and it comes in fun colors!

This is what Billie has to say about their famour razor

MEET OUR AWARD-WINNING RAZOR

“The razor that made everyone start talking about razors. It’s won countless awards including Allure Best of Beauty, Nylon’s Beauty Hit List, and Bustle’s Most Wanted Life Upgrade.

The Starter Kit comes with two blades and a magic (magnetic) holder to keep your razor stored on your shower wall when you’re not using it and out of the shower puddle. Change, delay, or cancel your shipments at any time. (But you probably won’t want to).”

Would love for you to use my link, I get a credit toward my next Billie by you using the link, so no extra cost to you!
