Have you been trying to figure out what kind of job you could do at home?
Today I have freelance writer and business owner Abbi Peret on the show. She shares with us how she started her journey with becoming a freelance writer to now helping women make money writing. Abbi has five kids, one who has special needs and another that battled cancer. During the timeframe that her son was fighting cancer, she found herself not wanting to write. But something had happened, she realized during that time she had started helping women and they counted on her and it gave her a reason to get out of bed in the morning. It dawned on her that she could do this and it could be a thing and that thing that was in her head is now a business. I asked her who would make a good freelance writer, she said if you love words, love reading, you can for sure get paid. Abbi talks about how you have to not be afraid of putting yourself out there if you want to make this work. Something Abbi said to me that stood out is when she said if you want to start a freelance business you need to have 7-10 hours to set aside where someone can watch the kids so you can really focus. Hear what she has to say about this topic and more on the podcast.
