Have you had the sex talk with your kids?

Birds & Bees are back and they are trying to revolutionize the topic of sex! If you missed last week with Megan, feel free to go back and listen to episode 72. Today, Mary Flo and I will be talking about how to bring up sex to your kids if you haven’t broached the subject yet.  She talks to us about how will our kids process the idea of sex, and how we don’t want to let that be in the hands of school or the culture, we need to navigate that with them.  She asks “how do we formulate the message that reflects our values. They need to hear OUR voice on this!” We also talk about being a single parent, or military spouse and having to have these talks with the opposite sex. Mary Flo gives us some ideas on how to talk to our kids even if you are holding down the fort on your own. We also discuss pornography and how it creates a very strong addictive behavior.  She mentions how we need to be very careful when our kids are on ipads, smart phones and computers. Porn comes looking for them, and we need to really protect our children. She shares how pornography is so damaging. She gives us some steps on how to talk to them about this topic. It’s very powerful and eye opening and you will want to share with your friends.

This is a resource that Mary Flo suggested if someone you know is battling with pornography and wants to get out of it.
